Ingredients
- 2 cups slightly coarse wheat flour
- 1/4 cups maida
- 2 tbsp ghee/oil
- 1 tbsp curd
- salt to taste
- Water
Method of preparation
- Take a large bowl. Mix 2 cups of wheat flour in it. Add maida, curd, ghee and salt in it.
- Mix all these ingredients well and add enough water to make the dough of this mixture.
- Keep the dough for one hour to set and put wet cloth on it.
- Now take some dough and make a ball then roll this ball of dough into a thick or round roti.
- Heat the tawa.
- Put little water on one side of the roti.
- Place the watered side of the roti on the tawa. It will stick to the tawa.
- Cook on a medium heat till small bubbles appear on the surface of the roti.
- Now you can lift and notice that the underside of the roti is starting to cook.
- Then using a tong, lift the roti off the tawa and cook it directly on the flame. Turning alternate side.
- Once done, take it off the heat before it gets burnt. Apply butter /ghee to it.
Eat it with your favorite dish
